Testing Your Build and Sending Feedback
Before your app, website, or kiosk goes live, you'll get to review it and request any changes you'd like, as many rounds as it takes to get it right. This guide covers how you'll access your demo, what to look for, and how to send us your feedback.
Getting Access to Your Demo
How you preview depends on the platform:
- Mobile app (iOS and Android). We'll send you a link to download a demo version of your app onto your phone or tablet.
- iPhone or iPad: you'll get a TestFlight invite. (TestFlight is Apple's free app for testing apps before they're published.) Install TestFlight if your device prompts you, then open the invite to install your demo app.
- Android: you'll get an APK download link. Open it on your device to install, your phone may ask you to allow the install, which is expected.
- Website (DopeSites) and Kiosk (DopeTender). We'll send you a demo link, just open it in your browser or computer to preview. No download needed.
Either way, this is a demo for you to explore, not the live version yet. Click or tap around just like one of your customers would.
What to Look For
Go through your build the way a customer would, and note anything you'd like changed. Things worth a close look:
- Colors and branding
- Banners
- The category carousel
- Icons and images
- Collections, specials, and menu layout
- The overall look and feel
Jot down whatever stands out, there are no wrong notes here!
Sending Your Feedback
Share your notes whichever way is easiest for you:
- Walk through them with your rep: schedule a meeting and we'll go over your feedback together, or
- Send your notes to your DopeTech rep (or **[email protected]**).
Whatever feels best for you, both work great.
As Many Rounds as You Need
We'll make your changes and send you an updated demo to review again. You can go through as many rounds as you'd like until it's exactly what you want, then you approve it, and we move toward launch.
Tips
- Review on the actual device. And loop in anyone else whose input matters, so you gather feedback in one pass.
- Be specific. Note which screen and what you'd like changed, "make the home banner brighter" is easier to act on than "the home page feels off."
