Creating Deeplinks

DopeHub

A deeplink sends customers straight to a specific place in your app when they tap: a single product, a filtered group of products, or a whole collection. Adding a deeplink means a tap lands exactly where you want, instead of dropping customers on a generic screen.

You add a deeplink in the spots where you're putting content in front of customers:

  • Push notifications: when creating a notification, each store has a Deeplink option (choose Select) so the tap opens the right place. See Sending Push Notifications.
  • App Section images: each image has a Deeplink option so tapping the image opens a product or group. See Customizing Your App with App Sections.

Both open the same deeplink selector for the store you're working in.

The selector lets you point a deeplink at:

  • A single product: for example, a specific pre-roll you're promoting.
  • A filtered group of products: everything matching the filters you set (a category, a brand, on-sale items, a price range, and so on).
  • A collection: a curated group you've already built, for a more pointed set.
  1. Open the selector. From a push notification or an app section image, select Select (or Deeplink) to open the deeplink picker for that store.
  2. Choose what you want to link to. This is the key step, and it's the same idea whether you want one product or many:
    • A single product: find it (use Search or the filters to narrow), then select it from the list.
    • A filtered group: use the Filters to define the set: Search, Title, Brands, Categories, Strains, Weights, Effects, Collections, Discounts, the On Sale toggle, and Min/Max Price and Min/Max THC %. Combine as many as you like: for example, Category: Flower plus a specific brand. The products that match appear below so you can confirm the set is right.
    • A collection: pick it from the Collections filter to point the deeplink at that curated group.
  3. Select Use search filter URL at the top of the selector.
  4. Select Select Deeplink to apply it.

Tips

  • Match the deeplink to the message. A "20% off flower" push should deeplink to your on-sale flower, not the home screen.
  • Use collections for curated drops, filters for broad themes. Link to a collection for a hand-picked set, or use filters for something like all pre-rolls or everything on sale.
  • Check the results before you confirm. Glance at the products the selector shows so you know customers will land where you intend.
